Firm History:

Originally named McClain, Day, Laurent, & Haynes, P.A. (May 2006) and later renamed McClain, Haynes, Laurent, Figueroa, & Wiggins, P.A. (August 2006), Carlus L. Haynes, and Bradley N. Laurent have withstood obstacles, and have developed a flourishing law firm. Now known as the Law Office of Haynes & Laurent, P.A., the lawyers have continued to excel in their areas of practice and have fortified their fearless and relentless reputation for trial.

“IT WAS ALL A DREAM.” Nearly six years ago, Carlus and Brad met at the prestigious law institute of Washburn University School of Law where the two formed an instant friendship. Both dreamed of one day opening a firm in Florida that would have a reputation for success, tenacity, and respect. While Brad immediately returned to Florida to work at Public Defender’s Office for the 9 th Judicial Circuit, Carlus secured employment as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Kansas. However, in no small part to Brad’s urging, Carlus was offered employment at the Public Defender’s office in Orlando in the summer of 2004.

Both enjoyed success as Assistant Public Defenders serving in various capacities and receiving accolades and notoriety for their efforts. Finally the two attorneys left the Public Defender ’s office in May 2006 to begin life in private practice.

“WE’RE TAKING OVER, ONE CITY AT A TIME.” The Law Firm plans to practice in multiple jurisdictions and have a multi-state law practice. The Duo is forecasted to expand their practice into the states of Georgia, Illinois, Missouri, New York, Texas and Colorado. It will be a matter of time before the names of Haynes and Laurent will be on the tips of everyone’s tongue when the topic of conversation is LAW.
